Terms & Conditions


The Contract of Hire is between the Hirer and the Apartment Owner. The Hirer accepts responsibility for all payments and all persons using the apartment and completion of the booking process implies acceptance of the Terms & Conditions.


Prices are inclusive and during peak season (Easter-October) bookings are for a minimum of 7 nights. Seasonal rates apply for TT/MGP periods.

Provisional Bookings:

The apartment can be provisionally booked for a period of 7 days, pending receipt of a deposit. If no deposit is received within this period, the provisional booking will be cancelled.


A deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking. Payment in full is required for bookings taken less than 1 month in advance. In all cases of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.


The Hirer becomes liable for the balance of the rent 1 calendar month before the letting begins. Non-payment of the full balance at the due date will be treated as a cancellation.


We accept payment through PayPal, bank transfer or by cheque.

Cancellation and Insurance:

If the Hirer cancels the booking within 1 calendar month of the start of the holiday, the Owner will attempt to re-let the property and, if successful, will refund any money paid less the deposit. If the Owner is unable to re-let the property, he will be entitled to retain all payments made. The Hirer is advised to arrange cancellation insurance.

Damage Deposit:

Unlike many holiday rental homes, we don’t ask for a damage/security deposit. However, we do ask that you treat our apartment with the same care and respect you would your own home. We trust guests to report any serious damage and this will be settled on a case by case basis.


In the unlikely event that the property becomes unavailable, due to events beyond the Owner’s control, the booking will be cancelled. The Hirer will be refunded all money paid in full, with the Hirer having no further claim against the Owner.

Arrival & Departure:

The apartment is available from 3pm on the arrival date until 11am on the departure date.

Car, Personal Belongings and Safety:

No responsibility can be accepted by the Owner for loss or damage to any vehicle, its contents and other personal belongings. The Hirer is advised to arrange travel insurance.


Smoking is not allowed in the apartment.


Sorry, we regret no pets are allowed.


The Owner is to be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during the holiday occupancy and has the right to ask you and your guests to leave immediately, if considered necessary, for any material breach of the terms of this agreement.


If you have any cause for complaint during your stay at the apartment, please notify the Owner who will make all reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.

Data Protection:

Cotterdale Apartment fully complies with current privacy laws (GDPR). You may access our website without registering your details and during the enquiry and booking process we collect just the amount of personal information needed. We will retain the information you provide for the minimum period necessary to comply with legal and taxation regulations. Your personal information is confidential, stored securely and will never be disclosed by us or sold to anyone else.
